Mark your calendar: The Faculty of Law's Human Rights celebration is approaching!
In commemoration of Human Rights Day, the Faculty of Law at the University of the Free State (UFS) is marking the occasion with a series of special events. These include a panel discussion titled Contribution of Sir Kentridge to Human Rights in South Africa and Beyond, and a public lecture titled Thirty Years of Human Rights in South Africa? Any Reason to Celebrate? – delivered by Emeritus Constitutional Court Justice Albie Sachs, promising a day of profound reflection and insight.

UFS chosen to host national hockey training camp

| South African hockey, in conjunction with Gielies Bonnet, South Africa’s women’s hockey team coach, has organised a national training course for goalkeepers to take place at the University of the Free State's (UFS) astro field. Only the top five hockey players in South Africa were chosen to participate in the training course and were trained by Joppe de Vries, the national goalkeeper trainer in the Netherlands. The course was organised to bring South African goalkeepers in line with international goalkeeping standards. |
