The Faculty of the Humanities Centre for Gender and Africa Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation, Academy of Science of South Africa, and the Edith Cowan University, will be hosting a Visiting Scholar Lecture with Prof Loretta Baldassar titled: Transnational Family Care: from social death to digital kinning over a century of Australian Migration.

Staff attend international conferences

Three staff members of the Department of Business Management at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently attended two international conferences, namely the Edineb 15th International Conference in Malaga, Spain with the theme "Advances in Business Education and Training" and the 2008 ICSB World Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The theme of this conference was "Advancing Small Business and Entrepreneurship: From Research to Results". They delivered altogether seven papers at the conferences.
