Odeion

The debut concert of the new Free State Wind Ensemble will take place on 1 November at 19:30 in the Odeion. The Ensemble was put together by Wesley Wong and Lisa Solomon in an attempt to provide an opportunity to wind instrument players to play in different music genres. The music is exciting and very entertaining, including works such as Danse Celestiale by Robert W Smith and A Leroy Anderson Portrait.
The concert will also feature items by the NIHE Wind Ensemble from Kimberley (conductor: Mervyn Solomon) and a combined work with Voices Inc. student chamber choir.
Tickets are R30 (adults) and R20 (students) and will be available at the door.
