The Faculty of the Humanities Centre for Gender and Africa Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation, Academy of Science of South Africa, and the Edith Cowan University, will be hosting a Visiting Scholar Lecture with Prof Loretta Baldassar titled: Transnational Family Care: from social death to digital kinning over a century of Australian Migration.

UFS academics receive national award for article

Three academics from the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of the Free State (UFS) were recently awarded the Douw Greeff Prize from the Suid-Afrikaanse Akademie vir Wetenskap en Kuns. The prize in awarded to a research or summary article of high scientific quality that was published in the SA Tydskrif vir Natuurwetenskap en Tegnologie during the year preceding the prize.
