The Faculty of the Humanities Centre for Gender and Africa Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation, Academy of Science of South Africa, and the Edith Cowan University, will be hosting a Visiting Scholar Lecture with Prof Loretta Baldassar titled: Transnational Family Care: from social death to digital kinning over a century of Australian Migration.

Staff and students are encouraged to attend. The details are as follows:

Go bold – and make both CANSA and Kovsies win!

Kovsies is about to literally ‘come to a head’ with Tuks, UCT and Wits to see whose students can get the greatest number of heads shaved or sprayed. The residence and faculty with the most shaved and sprayed heads will be named SAMSA CANSA Champions in the fight against cancer.

The event is organised by CANSA (Cancer Association South Africa) in association with SAMSA (South African Medical Students Association)
