The Faculty of the Humanities Centre for Gender and Africa Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation, Academy of Science of South Africa, and the Edith Cowan University, will be hosting a Visiting Scholar Lecture with Prof Loretta Baldassar titled: Transnational Family Care: from social death to digital kinning over a century of Australian Migration.

UFS presents international nursing conference

The School of Nursing at the University of the Free State (UFS) is presenting the third triennial Nursing Odyssey international conference this week on the Main Campus in Bloemfontein. This year's focus is on caring and special areas such as midwifery and wound care are accentuated. During the conference were, from the left: Prof. Anita van der Merwe (Head of the UFS School of Nursing), Mr John Gowers (Huntleigh Health, United Kingdom), Dr Bola Ofi (Head of the Department of Nursing at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria) and Prof. George Ellison (St. George University, United Kingdom).
