The Faculty of the Humanities Centre for Gender and Africa Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation, Academy of Science of South Africa, and the Edith Cowan University, will be hosting a Visiting Scholar Lecture with Prof Loretta Baldassar titled: Transnational Family Care: from social death to digital kinning over a century of Australian Migration.

UFS staff obtain their degrees

A number of staff from the University of the Free State (UFS) obtained their degrees this week during the autumn graduation ceremony held on the Main Campus in Bloemfontein. Ms Lacea Loader (left), Assistant Director: Media Liaison at the UFS obtained the B.A. Honours in Language Studies, and Mr Gerben Kamper, well-known theatre personality and lecturer at the Department of Drama and Theatre Arts, obtained the honours degree in Drama and Theatre Arts with distinction.
