The American pianist Bryan Wallick will be the soloist with the Free State Symphony Orchestra in Grieg’s famous Piano Concerto in a minor. This concert, conducted by Chris Dowdeswell will be the opening of the Odeion Musik Fest on Saturday 14 March. Bryan Wallick won the 1997 Horowitz international piano competition in Kiev and studied at the Julliard Music school in New York and the Roayl Academy of Music in London.

The rest of the programme will consist of Gieg’s Symphonic Dances and Haydn’s Symphony No. 102 in B flat major.
