TAGDev 2.0 SCHOLARSHIPS NOW OPEN: 2026/2027 AACADEMIC YEAR
Apply for a fully funded Master’s scholarship in Sustainable Agriculture under the TAGDev 2.0 Programme, a collaborative initiative by RUFORUM and the Mastercard Foundation to strengthen African agricultural education and empower young change‑makers.
Who Should Apply?
• African candidates from economically disadvantaged or marginalised communities living in South Africa.
• Refugees, displaced persons and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged.
• Female applicants are strongly welcomed.
• Applicants must meet UFS admission criteria for the Master of Sustainable Agriculture.
• Age limits apply (e.g., under 35 for master’s applicants).
• Candidates already holding another scholarship are not eligible.
Selection Criteria include academic merit, interest in agriculture/agribusiness, leadership, community commitment, and potential for impact.
What the Scholarship Covers:
• Full tuition and research costs
• Living stipend and hostel accommodation
• Laptop, internship & field attachments
• Workshop/conference support, entrepreneurship training
• Special support (e.g., travel documents, assistive devices) for refugees/PWDs
How to Apply:
- Apply for admission to the University of the Free State Master of Sustainable Agriculture via the UFS application portal.
- Apply for the TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship through the RUFORUM RIMS portal.
- Submit required documents (ID, qualifications, motivation letter, etc.).
