About the Scholarship
- A two-year scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree at a South African university, starting in 2026.
- Open to applicants with a background in Engineering, Science, Environmental & Geographical Science, Finance, Economics, or Development Studies.
- Candidates must be eligible for registration at a South African university.

TETA Bursaries 2026 – Now Open!
The Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) invites unemployed learners to apply for bursaries for the 2026 academic year.
Who can apply?
• Grade 12 learners (current or completed)
• Registered university/college students needing 2026 funding
• Aviation students (with valid SPL, PPL or CPL)
• Commercial divers (with matric)
Where can you study?
• Public & accredited private universities
• Universities of Technology
• Public & private TVET colleges
• Accredited aviation & diving schools
Fields funded include:
• Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Marine, Aeronautical)
• Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain & Maritime Studies
• Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk & Operations Management
• ICT (Cybersecurity, AI, Data Science, Cloud, Networking, Analytics)
• Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainable Development
• Maritime & Aviation (Piloting, Law, Diving certifications)
• Postgraduate & research degrees relevant to the transport sector
