Léon Snyman in Johannesburg gebore en het in Ladybrand in die Oos Vrystaat groot geword. Hy het clavier en teorie lesse op ouderdom 7 begin by die plaaslike primêre skool. Hy het die studies by St Andrew’s Skool in Bloemfontein voort gesit waar hy in die koor en by die jaarlikse musiekblyspelle betrokke was. Na ’n tyd van argitektuur studeer aan die Universiteit van Natal in Durban, he thy na Bloemfontein toe terug gekeer, en, terwyl hy verskeie werksposte gevul het, het hy Jazz en Komposisie onder Noel Stockton by die Musiek Department aa die Universiteit Vrystaat in Bloemfontein. Hy ontvang ’n B. Mus. en B. Mus. Hons. Van die UV. Hy was aangestel as die Musiek Direkteur by Trinity Methodiste Kerk in die stad en is huidiglik Teaterbestuurder by die Odeion by die Musiek Department van die Universiteit Vrystaat waar hy ook in Musiek Tegnologie doseer. Hy bestuur ook Well Noted Productions wat in musiek notasie, verwerking en publiseering spesiliseer en is ook ’n byeboer.

MTC424 The purpose of this module is the exploration of the following areas within the discipline: Sound production: MIDI processing; Audio & MIDI processing; In-depth mixing & automation; Mastering techniques.
MUST2512 This module is an introduction to the use of technology in music by firstly providing the student with a basic level of computer literacy and, secondly, providing an introduction into the use of music notation software such as Sibelius.
MUST3713 The purpose of this module is to introduce students to current literature and practices regarding Music Technology. It comprises a brief exploration of the following areas within the discipline: MIDI systems; Music notation; Music composition and production; Sequencing; History of technology; Using technology; OS & internet; Networks; 2-track editing; Acoustics; Presentation. It also comprises a brief exploration of Sound production; Recording principles; I/O stagesConnectors; accessories, equipment; Microphones; Mixing console; Intro to CuBase; cf. Old & New School, as well as Basic CuBase Method.
