While the Erasmus+ iKudu project primarily aimed to build capacity in South African Higher Education Institutions (SA HEIs) for curriculum transformation through virtual exchanges, an unintended outcome has been significant research output. Throughout the project, several research publications have been released, all centred around COIL, virtual engagement, intercultural competencies and internationalization of the curriculum.
