The Methodology/Project Description |
The project adopted an adaptive management approach to guide an iterative process of robust decision-making, ensuring that we utilized the best theories, practices, and systems to achieve our objectives. A steering committee (SC) was formed to coordinate activities, while working groups (WGs) were tasked with maintaining alignment and providing continuous feedback to stakeholders. Two WGs concurrently pursued linked objectives across three project phases. The planned WGs are:
- WG1: Internationalisation of the Curriculum (led by Jos Beelen and Lynette Jacobs)
- WG2: Planning, developing, and implementing COIL virtual exchange projects and training within institutions (led by Eva Haug, Lize-Mari Mitchell, and Jon Rubin)
All partner universities participated, with SC members and other executive, academic, and administrative professionals from each university identified and assigned as needed. The project was structured into three phases, during which the WGs remained active. The SC will facilitate synergy between the WGs through annual workshops, where reports will be shared, and insights adopted to progress successfully to the next phase. Annually, the SC will report to all WGs and relevant stakeholders. The WGs will be involved throughout the project timeline, from inception to completion.
