NSFAS-funded students must reapply for new mainstream degree studies
NSFAS-funded students who plan to apply for mainstream degree studies in the following year must reapply for NSFAS funding.
Please note that your current funding will not automatically carry over to your new programme. It is your responsibility to submit a new NSFAS application to be considered for funding.
Keeping your contact details updated
It is very important to ensure that your contact details are up to date on both the NSFAS system and the UFS system.
NSFAS details
Make sure your details are correct so you can receive important updates about your funding and allowances:
- Log in to your myNSFAS account using your username and password.
- Click on “Personal Details” at the top of the screen.
- Update your cellphone number and email address.
UFS details
Ensure your contact details with the University of the Free State are accurate so that you do not miss important university communications.
