The self-service Library Book Return System allows you to return borrowed Library books conveniently, including when the circulation desk is closed.

The return systems are available at:

• Sasol Library: At the entrance opposite the Thakaneng Bridge.
• Neville Alexander Library: At the Library entrance.
• TK Mopeli Library: Opposite the 24-Hour Study Area.

Insert your books into the return slot one at a time and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. Wait for confirmation before inserting the next book.

The Library self-check machines allow you to borrow Library books independently and conveniently without visiting the circulation desk.

Self-check machines are available at the following UFS Libraries:

• Frik Scott Medical Library: At the rear of the front desk.
• Neville Alexander Library: At the rear of the front desk.
• Sasol Library: Level 3 and Level 5.
• TK Mopeli Library: At the rear of the front desk.

To borrow books, scan your student or staff card, place each book in the designated area and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. Before completing the transaction, confirm that all books have been successfully checked out to your Library account.
