We provide for your medical needs. A strict ethical code of confidentiality is maintained.

The medical services offered can broadly be divided into General Practitioner/Family Physician (Medical Doctor), Physiotherapy and Primary Health Care (Professional Nurse) services.

Consultation with Doctors is available on an appointment basis and medical aid tariffs apply when consulting the Doctors. Their services are available to UFS students, staff and to the broader community.

Primary Health Care

Primary Health Care (PHC) is rendered by Professional nurses. Consultation is available on an appointment basis. Our services are available to UFS students who do not have a medical aid and include: 

After hours you can visit the nearest applicable medical facility (Pelonomi or National hospital for non-medical aid clients and Mediclinic, Netcare or Rosepark hopsital for medical aid clients).  
(There will be costs involved for your own account)

Real emergencies: ER24 is the preferred private service provider (there will be costs involved).
