The Student Voices Initiative is a platform aimed at creating a space for creatives and storytellers at the UFS to fully express their experiences, thoughts, and ideas as they navigate through the university and life. As such, the University of the Free State invites and encourages creatives across the three campuses to share their stories through mediums such as video, photography, and text. Furthermore, the Student Voices initiative is to give undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of the Free State (UFS) the opportunity to have their written and other creative work featured on the UFS communication platforms. This is an incredible opportunity, specifically for students who have an interest in storytelling or who want to pursue a career in that regard; this platform provides assistance in possibly starting those careers. In addition, this platform serves as a space to allow various creatives across the three campuses to be exposed to one another. In this way, each creative will assist in fostering and developing the growth of another creative.

The initiative launches on 13 May 2022.
