Opening of 2020 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) applications

The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

Five Kovsies included in the SA Top 30 group

The Free State netball team, which only consists of players from the University of the Free State (UFS), recently returned from the SPAR National Netball Championships that were held in Port Elizabeth.

According to Ms Burta de Kock from KovsieSport at the UFS, the team, where five first-year players were included, brought back home a bronze medal when they ended third out of the eleven teams who participated.

Five of the Kovsie players were also included in the SA Top 30 group. They are Doretha Joubert, Sane du Preez, Adele Niemand, Anja Opperman and Elzet Engelbrecht.
