Opening of 2020 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) applications

The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

Satellite links UFS and ASU

2009-11-03

The University of the Free State (UFS) recently communicated with the Appalachian State University (ASU) in North Carolina in the United States of America by means of a video conference. Various departments and faculties were involved with the communication, culminating in an agreement for future collaboration with the ASU. Opportunities for research and community partner collaboration in the ASU’s international learning programmes were identified. The collaboration also makes provision for reciprocal exchange of staff and students between the UFS and the ASU.
