The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

Dr Choice Makhetha re-elected as president of SAASSAP

Dr Choice Makhetha.

Dr Choice Makhetha, the Special Assistant to the Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Free State (UFS), was recently re-elected as the president of the South African Association of Student Affairs Practitioners (SAASSAP). Dr Makhetha served as president of this association for the period 2008-2010.

At the national conference held at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, she was unanimously re-elected as president for 2010-2012.
