Opening of 2020 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) applications

The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

Kovsie Bequest Society

The Kovsie Bequest Society (KBS) was recently established by the University of the Free State (UFS). The society wants to make alumni, retired staff members and friends of the UFS aware of bequests to the university. Attending the launch were from the left: Prof Johan Nortjé (KBS committee member), Prof François Retief (Vice-Chairperson of KBS), Ms Anna Bobbert (KBS committee member), Prof Nico du Plessis (Chairperson of KBS), Ms Kathy Verwey (Senior Officer: KBS) and Prof Frederick Fourie (Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the UFS).
