Opening of 2020 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) applications

The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

UFS dean elected as member of national council

2007-07-31

Prof. Herman van Schalkwyk, Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS), has been elected for a period of four years on the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) by the Minister of Agriculture, Ms Lulu Xingwana. The NAMC advises the Minister and the South African agricultural industry on matters relating to the marketing of agricultural products.
