The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

State of our campuses: All academic activities at UFS campuses suspended for 11 and 12 October 2016

Due to violent disruptions at the University of the Free State (UFS) today, all academic activities on the three campuses are suspended for 11 and 12 October 2016.

The suspension of all academic activities on the campuses will ensure time for the university management to engage with stakeholders in order to find a solution to the crisis.

Should a resolution not be reached, all UFS campuses will face complete closure until further notice.
