The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

Dean elected as a director on the Landbank Board

Prof. Herman van Schalkwyk, Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS), has been elected for a period of four years as a director on the Landbank Board by the Minister of Agriculture and Land Affairs, Ms Lulu Xingwana. Earlier this year, he was elected by Minister Xingwana as a member of the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC).
