“Talented, knowledgeable and committed people make all the difference. We tend to underestimate the potential and ability of people, and we don’t trust them enough,” Prof. Brand Pretorius, Honorary Professor in the Department of Business Management at the University of the Free State (UFS), said in his annual lecture last week.
The theme was Lessons I learnt during my career in business. He continued to say that passion, energy and enthusiasm provide the electricity that propels teams and individuals to optimum performance.
