What is Blackboard?Blackboard is an online learning platform where you will find resources, activities and assessments for the modules which you are enrolled in at the University.
How do I access and log into Blackboard?
To access Blackboard, visit the following website:

To log into your Blackboard account type:
Username: Student number
Password: UFS campus password
* Please ensure that you log into Blackboard to activate your profile. Only after activation will you be enrolled into your Blackboard modules.
What to do you if you are not enrolled into all your Blackboard modules?
Contact the Blackboard Helpdesk to request assistance with module enrolment. Please attach your proof of registration when sending an email to the helpdesk. Emails sent after hours will only be attended to the following business day.

Is there training available on how to use Blackboard?
YES:
All first-year students will receive Blackboard training during their UFSS1508 summer school orientation programme. First-year students also have the opportunity to complete the online Blackboard Self-Paced Training course, which is designed to train students on the effective use of Blackboard tools. This course can be found under ‘Courses’ on Blackboard.
There is also various online and face to face training sessions taking place across all three campuses for senior-, postgraduate-, and late registered students to join. Visit the Student Blackboard Help organisation on Blackboard to see the training schedule and to sign up to attend a training session, as well as find helpful how-to documents and videos.

The Blackboard App is an enjoyable, simple and easy-to-use mobile learning app for on-the-go, goal-orientated learners. This app will give you access to the UFS Blackboard facilities. The app provides you with the following features:
