Information

It is with great excitement that we announce the Annual UFS Learning and Teaching Conference and Awards for 2021!  The theme for this year’s event is “Quality and Innovation for a new blended learning future”.

The online/virtual conference is scheduled to take place from 13 – 15 September 2021.  Please be on the look-out for future communication regarding keynote speakers and other relevant news/information.

Please find attached the call for applications and expression of interest for the UFS Learning and Teaching Awards.  We want to encourage staff involved in learning and teaching to enter for these awards and share their innovative learning and teaching, especially during a period that was challenging and allowed us to “think outside the learning and teaching box”.  From the call you will see an expansion of previous award categories (best conference paper presentation/beginner researcher in learning and teaching), as well as a  new category for a Departmental Award for Learning and Teaching.   Please familiarise yourself with the attached call for applications/expression of interest, but feel free to contact Thuto Mvimbe (mvimbetl@ufs.ac.za) with any queries or questions.  Deadline for submission of expression of interest is 30 May 2021.
