 Welcome to the Department of Social Sciences and   Commerce Education

Our department caters to pre-service teachers, in-service teachers, and researchers studying and working on the following school subjects: Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, History, and Arts Education. We also offer content modules for Intermediate and Senior Phase Social Sciences (History and Geography) and Economics and Management Science. We aim to produce teachers and scholars who are competent, creative, and flexible in their subjects of specialisation, and who can teach and research effectively and meaningfully.  We are a team of dedicated academics and support staff personnel looking forward to guiding and supporting you through your academic journey within our department.
