Bachelor in Education (BEd): Four-year Curriculum


Foundation Phase (Grade R-3)

Intermediate Phase (Grade 4-7)

Senior Phase (Grade 7-9) and Further Education and Training Phase (Grade 10-12)

Required

AP of 30+ and a minimum achievement Level 4 (50%) for language of instruction

Note: Additional admission requirements apply for the following disciplines:
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Music, and Sesotho.

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
PGCE is a professional educator qualification that ‘caps’ a degree qualification

Required

NQF level 7 qualification with a minimum of two school relevant subjects completed as part of the aforementioned qualification. All PGCE applications go through a selections process at Faculty level.
