Dr Colwyn Martin is the Discipline Coordinator/Leader of the Discipline Sector Early Childhood Development. The sector focuses on research and teaching of programmes dealing with children aged between 0 and 9 years.

This, of course, includes the BEd (Pre-school and Foundation Phase).

She is ably assisted by a large staff complement:

  • Literacy Education – Dr Colwyn Martin, Dr Julia Ramabenyane, Ms Maritza Olivier, Ms Leetoane Sibeko, and Ms Neli Gabela on the Qwaqwa Campus
  • Numeracy Education – Ms Glynnis Daries and Ms Edith Lesupi on the Qwaqwa Campus
  • Life Skills Education – Dr Mariëtte Koen
