Dr Sello Sele is a Sociology Lecturer and Research Consultant with an academic background in the social sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, an Honours in Social Sciences, and a Master of Sociology (cum laude) from the University of the Free State (UFS), and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Pretoria (UP). His research is situated at the intersection of digital technology and society, with a particular interest in digital sociology, social media studies, and digital activism. Beyond these research niches, Dr Sele`s areas of interest include gender and masculinity studies. He is currently involved in the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses: Sociology of Environment and Population (SOCP2624, SOCP6808) and Sociology of Collective Action and Social Movements (SOCS6808). In addition to his research and teaching, he contributes to academic administration by serving on several committees at the faculty and departmental levels and also serves as a reviewer for the South African Review of Sociology (SARS) journal.
