Social Responsibility Enterprises
Project description

From the platform of the South Campus, the UFS runs projects that focus on subject management, district leadership, and professional learning communities (PLCs) – as a way to contribute to the better functioning and well-being of schools around the Mangaung area.

Project content

The projects involve training and support to school governing bodies (SGB) in areas such as governance and management, social cohesion in nation building, and value- and data-driven schools. This is done through workshops and individual coaching, as well as celebrating and rewarding top achievers.

The project involves activities such as:

  • the Top Kids programme;
  • professional learning communities (PLCs);
  • prospective student support;
  • HOD leadership support; and
  • Take a child to work.
