Research Colloquium

The Division of Student Affairs (DSA) Research office is responsible to establish a culture of data-driven praxis and empirically based innovation in Student Affairs. To this end, the Research Office facilitates the following in support of the different functional areas of the DSA:

  • Training, coaching, and supporting staff in monitoring, assessment, and evaluation practices;
  • Training, coaching and supporting staff in scholarly writing to produce research outputs;
  • Coordinating the conceptualisation, implementation, and publication of strategic research projects in the DSA;
  • Manage the DSA office collection – these sources are crucial to creating a well-established theoretical basis for DSA structures and operations;
  • Manage all research ethical processes involving the DSA – including gatekeepers approvals.
  • Lead the annual DSA Research Colloquium.

The Research Office warmly invites you to participate in the various programmes that Student Affairs has on offer.
