The University of the Free State (UFS) is the main sponsor of two Junior J5 International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments which will be presented by Cepha Tennis Bloemfontein. 

The hosting of two ITF tournaments in Bloemfontein has been long awaited and promises to be a spectacular show of international junior tennis. The first tournament of the UFS Cepha Tennis Junior ITF series will commence on 5 February 2022, and the finals will be played on 11 February. The second tournament starts on 12 February and the finals will be played on 18 February. 

In addition to some of South Africa’s top players, entries have already been received from the following countries:  Israel, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Great Britain, Belgium, Luxemburg, Hungary, Egypt, Lesotho, Madagascar, USA, Romania, Germany, Switzerland, and South Africa. The tennis talent in action is exceptionally high in the junior categories and the players will face tough competition during the tournaments.

All matches will be played at the Free State Tennis Stadium in Att Horak Street, Willows. Entry is free of charge. All COVID-19 regulations will be adhered to.
After the long COVID-19 restrictions, these two tennis tournaments promise to be an exciting, prestige affair and spectators are welcome.
