KovsieGear, the University of the Free State’s (UFS) merchandise shop, recently moved its Bloemfontein Campus store to a new location, aimed at making UFS-branded merchandise easily available to students, staff, and the broader UFS community. 

Known for its curated selection of UFS-branded items, KovsieGear has long been a go-to destination for UFS brand enthusiasts. The changes and growth mark a new chapter for the official university merchandise shop as it aims to reach a broader clientele with its in-demand sports gear, corporate wear, and gifts.

Lacea Loader, the Senior Director of the UFS Department of Communication and Marketing (DCM), said that KovsieGear has reached significant milestones during its nine-year existence, and she takes pride in these accomplishments. “The relocation to a more modern and innovative space has allowed the team to have easily accessible stock and a broader range of merchandise for our customers. Both the Bloemfontein and Qwaqwa Campus shops are thriving, consistently delivering outstanding customer service. Congratulations to the KovsieGear and DCM team for their excellent teamwork.”
