UFS Thought Leader series


The University of the Free State (UFS) will be presenting the 2nd UFS Thought-Leader Series in cooperation with Vrye Weekblad as part of the Vrystaat Arts Festival.

Department of Missiology holds international conference

The Department of Missiology in the Faculty of Theology at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently hosted an international conference with the theme "Mission and Conversion". The conference included speakers from Brazil, the Netherlands, India, Malawi, Germany, Kenya and South Africa. At the conference, front from left, were: Prof Abraham van de Beek (Professor of Systematic Theology at Vrije University, Amsterdam), Mrs Rachel Nyagondue Fiedler (Lecturer at Mzuzu University, Malawi) and Dr Siga Arles (Director: Centre for Contemporary Christianity, India). Back from left: Prof Pieter Verster (Head: Department of Missiology, UFS), Mr Reinhold Strähler (Team of Life Challenge Africa, Kenya), Prof Christoph Stenschke (Dean of postgraduate studies at Missionshaus Bibelschule Wiedenest, Bergneustadt) and Rev Hans van Vuuren (Dutch Reformed Church, Heilbron South).
