The academic calendar for 2021 was approved by the Executive Committee of Senate (ECS) on Friday 4 December 2020. The calendar has been compiled with the assumption that Level 1 of the national lockdown level will continue. Click here to view: UFS 2021 Academic Calendar

Prof Daan de Waal member of the SA Statistics Council

Prof Daan de Waal, departmental chairperson of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State (UFS), has recently been appointed as member of the South African Statistics Council.  It is the first time that a staff member of the Faculty is appointed as member of the Council.  The appointment was made for a term of three years by Mr Trevor Manuel, Minister of Finance.
