Student Recruitment (Undergraduate)
The University of the Free State (UFS) offers a variety of services to help learners kick-start their ‘I-want-to-be’. The UFS is an important source of knowledge and expertise geared towards assisting and supporting high school learners to choose subjects in Grade 9 and career options in Grades 11 and 12 that will best suit their individual values, passions, dreams, and talents.
Among the services offered by the department to future Kovsie2Bs, is the marketing team visiting schools across South Africa as well as selected international schools to recruit the best talent for undergraduate studies. In addition, the department also attends numerous career exhibitions to create awareness of the different programmes and services offered by the UFS. The department not only assists Grade 11 and 12 learners to choose a programme and to apply for studies, but also guides and advises Grade 9 learners on choosing the right subjects.
The #KovsiesAlwaysOnTheMove team is ready to assist you. This team is the megaphone of the UFS and is mainly responsible for creating brand awareness, selling the brand promise, and establishing and maintaining relationships with our school stakeholders.

The Directorate of Student Recruitment stands at the forefront of shaping future research leaders through our postgraduate programmes. Entrusted with crafting and disseminating the prospectus, we meticulously detail the expansive avenues of inquiry and scholarship available at UFS.

Integrated Marketing, Innovation, Special Events and Projects
This section aims to market and promote the UFS to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students through the planning, organisation, and implementation of mass and targeted marketing functions, promotions, and specific marketing strategies.
The Kovsie2BConnect Centre is the place to get valuable UFS information. The purpose of this section is to disseminate programme and campus information to both internal and external customers. The section serves as an interface between the UFS, its prospective students, and the community.
