Colourful, moving, funny and very entertaining! Tailor Made / Nommerpas presents the grade 12 prescribed poems in a word program for all matric learners. Whether English, Afrikaans or just a lover of poetry, this program is accessible for everyone! With contemporary music, dance and visual images the program brings the sometimes dull world of poetry in a colourful, accessible manner.

The poems are dramatised verbally and visually and learners will be able to identify with the themes, atmosphere and emotional involvement. The production prides itself with some of FACTS (Free State Acts) professional actors such as Ilne Fourie, well known for her successful Impi, (Volksblad Kunstefees 2009 and KKNK 2010), Heinrich Keogh, Mart Kotze and Walter Strydom from Boer Manie se Melk word Suur, Marijda Kamper from Bewys (best debut production on the Volksblad Arts Festival 2009) and Jefferson Korkee from earlier departmental productions such as Mure and The Flies. The team of Stephanie Brink (director) and DeBeer Cloete (production manager) bring their poetic vigour and knowledge to the stage once again. Both these professional theatre practitioners are well known for their productions, Geblikte Ertappels, Mieliestronk and Moerpampoen.

This double bill production comprises out of two parts: The poetry of Afrikaans Home Language with English first additional language on the one hand and on the other English home language and Afrikaans First Additional language, as they are grouped in most schools. It would, however be possible to tailor make the production to suit each schools individual needs. Book the show combination of your choice for your school’s learner.

The production is supported by the Department of Education, Free State and is made possible through the support of the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF).

Come and attend the free debut showing of the production in the Scaena Theatre on the 6th of May at 19h00. For more information, bookings or enquiries, please contact Heinrich Keogh on 084 247 1678 or e-mail him at pkeogh95@yahoo.com.
