George Foster, a PhD student at the Odeion School of Music, presents one of his doctoral examination recitals. He will be accompanied by Eljee du Plooy (organ) and Lesley-Ann Mathews (piano).

The annual Dean’s Concert of the Odeion School of Music (UFS) will feature renowned French-South African organist, Liesbeth Schlumberger-Kurpershoek - first prize winner of the International Organ Competition (Bordeaux).  She studied under the legendary organist, Marie-Claire Alain. 

 

The following programme will be recited:

Organ Symphony No. 6, Op. 42 No. 2

 

DIEGO SOIFER

Mille Regretz (organ, violin, cello, trombone & clarinet)

 

GEORGE FREDERIC HÄNDEL

Organ Concerto in A major Op. 7 No. 2

 

For the Soifer and the Händel Schlumberger-Kurpershoek will collaborate with the OSM CAMERATA under the baton of Xavier Cloete.
