Research:

I am a researcher in the Department of Geography and my areas of interest are geography and geomorphology, including process geomorphology and fieldwork techniques in data collection. My research also includes geomorphological mapping, landscape analysis and visualisation; dating techniques in earth-surface processes and denudation rates (e.g., cosmogenic nuclide exposure); and glacial and peri-glacial geomorphology, in particular sub-Antarctic, Antarctic, and high mountain environments.

I also enjoy the education and communication part of geography, including the use of virtual-reality technology.

Assessing change in mountainous environments, landforms and landscape change in the sub-Antarctic, and rates of rock weathering and decay are all research themes for potential postgraduate studies which I would like to be involved in.

I am also exploring new techniques for documenting and presenting landscape change, e.g., virtual reality, mapping, modelling, etc.
