Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Taxation (BCom Hons (Taxation))
This programme aims to develop tax professionals who will receive advanced credits towards the tax articles offered by the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT). Successful completion of SAIT’s tax articles may lead to Tax Adviser (SA) professional membership with SAIT.
After successful completion of the BCom Hons (Taxation), students can pursue a Master of Commerce in Taxation.

After successful completion of the BCom Hons (Taxation), students can pursue a Master of Commerce in Taxation.
Students are required to have obtained the following:
- a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Degree with a minimum weighted average mark for the exit-level modules of 60% with a final mark of at least 65% in the exit-level Taxation module; or
- a Bachelor of Accounting Degree, with a final mark of at least 55% in the exit-level Taxation module.
Students from other institutions must seek specific permission for admission from the Programme Director: General Accountancy.
