Postgraduate Diploma in Chartered Accountancy (PGDip(CA))
This programme is accredited by the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
The PGDip(CA) serves as a prerequisite and entrance requirement for the Initial Test of Competence (ITC) examination of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
The programme consists of the following four core year modules:
- Financial Accounting
- Managerial Accounting and Financial Management
- Taxation
- Auditing and Corporate Governance
Students are required to have obtained a BAcc Degree (or a SAICA-accredited equivalent) with a combined average of at least 58% in the four core modules as well as a final mark of at least 55% in each of the individual modules.
It is strongly recommended that all the above modules are passed in the immediately preceding year.
Students from other institutions must seek specific permission from the Programme Director: Chartered Accountancy and Research.
