Our Aim
Contributing in and through higher education to eco-social justice across classroom, campus, community and society
Our research focus is on how higher education contributes to human development through expanding people’s capabilities and agency - and hence to challenging inequalities in and through higher education towards eco-social justice and sustainable human development.
Our Objectives
- To foster well-being (capabilities expansion) and agency through higher education research: conceptual, empirical and methodological.
- To contribute to reducing inequalities and poverty in and through higher education as a public good.
- To generate knowledge for educational and social change.
- To build sub-Saharan Africa research capacity, and critical higher education studies knowledge
