The vision of the Unit is to facilitate innovative and impactful institutional change that enable societal development. The Unit must now, therefore, be positioned to support changes in approaches, structures, and practices that enable the University to achieve this ambitious goal.

The position that the Unit ‘facilitates co-creative’ processes recognises that it works with all stakeholders to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects UFS values of excellence, innovation and impact, accountability, care, social justice, and sustainability. It does this because people from all backgrounds, identities, and cultures inform how the University will achieve its Vision 130.
