Closing date for online applications: 30 September
The Centre for Environmental Management (CEM) can only accommodate a limited number of students per year in the structured Masters of Science majoring in Integrated Water Management programme. Due to the high number of applicants, only the best students are selected for the programme. The number of students that are selected will depend on the supervision capacity at the CEM, at the time of selection.
Students are therefore selected through a competitive process by a panel of academic staff from the CEM.
Minimum requirements
The minimum requirements to be considered by the selection panel are:
- PGDipIWM or an applicable Bachelor of Science Honours Degree or equivalent qualification on NQF Exit Level 8. The PGDipIWM should be preceded by a relevant three year Bachelor of Science degree.
- Appropriate experience in the water sector will be an added advantage for admission consideration by CEM.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
Potential RPL candidates should apply for the Master of Science majoring in Integrated Water Management, using the standard application process. Suitable candidates will be recommended by the selection panel to enter the RPL process after provisional acceptance.
Applicants should not enter the RPL process unless they have specifically been recommended and notified by the selection panel.
