Closing date for online applications: 30 September
This 120-credit qualification on NQF Level 8 comprises three coursework modules to be completed over a one-year period. For each module, students have to attend compulsory contact sessions at the Bloemfontein Campus.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Semester 1
IWRM 5810: Introduction to integrated water resources, economics and governance
This 48-credit module is made up of:
- Two one-week contact sessions at the Bloemfontein Campus of the University of the Free State during the first semester
- Group assessments during class sessions, online engagement and online assignments
- One examination written at one of several urban centres throughout Southern Africa (June).
Semester 2
IWRM 5820: Integrated water resources science
This 48-credit module is made up of:
- One, one-week contact session at the Bloemfontein Campus of the University of the Free State during the second semester
- Group assessments during class sessions, online engagement and online assignments
- One exam written at one of several urban centres throughout Southern Africa (November).
IWRM 5846: Water resources management and legislation
This
24-credit module is made up of:
- A single, one-week contact session at the Bloemfontein Campus of the University of the Free State during the second semester
- Group assessments and individual presentations during class sessions
TUITION FEES
You can generate your own personalised quotation for the PGDip in IWM. When prompted to add modules, you need to add the following module codes. All three modules are compulsory:
