Important dates for submission of dissertations or theses for December 2026 graduation

31 March 2026: Notice of intension to submit: A student who intends to submit an MSc dissertation or PhD thesis in view of the degree to be conferred at the December 2026 graduation ceremony, must inform the Registrar via their supervisors/promoters of this intention. This must be done on the specified submission form, which must also be signed by the supervisor/promoter and sent to Anneke Rossouw at IGS.

26 June 2026: Deadline for submission of M&D dissertation/thesis for assessment (for students who want to graduate at December 2026 graduation ceremony). 

Final submission of hard-copy dissertation and theses to IGS: Four weeks prior to graduation date.

Important dates for submission of dissertations or theses for April 2027 graduation

28 August 2026: Notice of  intension to submit: A student who intends to submit an MSc dissertation or PhD thesis in view of the degree to be conferred at the April 2026 graduation ceremony, must inform the Registrar via their supervisors/promoters of this intention. This must be done on the specified submission form, which must also be signed by the supervisor/promoter and sent to Anneke Rossouw at IGS

30 October 2026:
 Deadline for submission of M&D dissertation/thesis for assessment (students who want to graduate in April 2027).    

With the submission of your final dissertation/thesis for assessment, the following documents must be included: 
* Certified copy of ID/Passport
* PDF Format of dissertation/thesis
* Declaration form
* Turnitin report
* Submissions approval letter from your Supervisor
