Opening of 2020 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) applications

The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, MP, has authorised NSFAS to open the 2020 application season for student funding from 1 September - 30 November 2019.

Young science boffins gather at the UFS

Learners concentrated hard on their science projects for the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists on our Bloemfontein Campus that took place from Thursday,18 August to Saturday, 20 August 2011. Grade 5 to12 learners from schools in Bloemfontein got the opportunity to show off their science research projects. More than 480 learners participated in the Expo, of which about two-thirds were girls. One grade 12 learner won a bursary from the UFS, and gold and silver medals were up for grabs.
