Assistant at the German section obtains Goethe Institute certificate

The assistant at the German section of the Department of Afrikaans and Dutch, German and French, Lize Botha, wrote the internationally recognised Goethe Institute’s B2-level (upper intermediate) exam on the 30th of June 2022. When candidates pass this exam, it certifies that candidates have acquired advanced language skills and corresponds to the fourth level (B2) of the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). She passed all 4 sections of the exam, namely: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking and obtained her official B2-level certificate from the Goethe Institute. The German section, headed by Prof. Cilliers Van den Berg, along with his colleague, Dr. Trudie Strauss, as well as the Department of Afrikaans and Dutch, German and French would like to congratulate Lize on obtaining her certificate.
